Reviews and Ratings
When I arrived, the rooms were dirty, but after a quick clean, they were comfortable. However, having a balcony at the back of the hotel was a nice touch. Service was top-notch, with kind and helpful staff who were attentive to my requests. The pool and the location, especially in Lucija and beyond, were fantastic. The dining experience was below average, with repetitive and limited food choices. Despite that, the hotel facilities were adequate for a pleasant stay.
The hotel room overlooked the main road, which was noisy at night, especially when the clubs closed. However, the breakfast area faced the road, allowing me to enjoy a bit of a sea view.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were nice and close to the recommended fish restaurant Ribja Kantina. The room was extra clean with a nice balcony overlooking the indoor pool and grassed area. However, the dining experience was below average and felt a bit disorganized.
My stay at the supposedly five-star Metropol Portorož was a mix of spacious but slightly worn rooms, friendly and helpful service, a great location close to the beach, and a dining experience that left something to be desired.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The location is perfect, right in the center of Portorose and close to the beach, ideal for exploring the Slovenian coast gems. The room, however, was a disappointment with outdated Italian air conditioning and cheap renovations, but it did come with a free additional bed.
The hotel's rooms were of comfortable size, offering good firm beds and just the right amount of storage space. However, the toilet lacked cleanliness, which was quite disappointing. The service was a mix of unfriendly and friendly, with some staff being very accommodating. The location was central but a bit crowded, yet convenient for exploring nearby attractions. The dining experience was adequate, although not exceptional. The facilities were decent but could use some improvement.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The room had a spacious layout, but the noise from the main road could be disruptive at night. The cleanliness of the walls, carpet, and curtains left much to be desired. On the bright side, the bathroom and toilet were roomy. However, the room lacked maintenance, with issues like power outages not promptly addressed. The staff at Hotel Barbara were incredibly friendly and helpful, though there were missed opportunities in room amenities that could elevate the hotel to a higher rating.
My stay at the hotel was truly exceptional. The room was not just comfortable and clean but exceeded my expectations, being the best I've ever experienced in all my travels. It was the perfect size for a one-night stay—clean, spacious, and just right. The service at the reception desk was not only good but also very informative and helpful, providing me with valuable local insights and assistance. The location was ideal, close to a beautiful beach with sea access and convenient for exploring nearby attractions by car. The dining experience was a highlight, with an abundant and delicious buffet spread. The facilities were top-notch, making my stay even more enjoyable.
The hotel is in a nice central location with easy access to nearby historic Piran and the well-kept main promenade by the seaside. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but some may be affected by noise from the main road. The friendly service adds to the overall experience, although some facilities like the pool come at an additional cost.
The hotel offers comfortable rooms with a free additional bed, but cleanliness needs improvement. The staff at the reception desk is friendly and experienced. The location is perfect, close to the beach but with some limitations. The dining experience is average with limited options. Overall, a decent stay with room for improvement.
